Saint Cloud, Minnesota–Alltran, Inc
Alltran is proud to support the Alltran Crusaders at the American Cancer Society’s 26th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at St. Cloud State University.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.
Roberta Schultz, Healthcare VP of Operations shared, “This is my 10 year anniversary of being a breast cancer survivor myself! I know there are many others on our staff that also have experienced this dreaded diagnosis. Alltran has been a huge supporter of this cause ever since and I personally appreciate the support that the company has given throughout the years.” She continued,” We have been the Central MN’s leading Donation and Sponsor for many years in the past and I know we can make that happen again this year!”
The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
“Because of the determination and passion of Making Strides supporters, like Alltran, the American Cancer Society is there for people in every community affected by breast cancer, whether they’re currently dealing with a diagnosis, may face one in the future, or will avoid it altogether because of education and risk reduction,” said Kim Orn, Senior Community Manager at the American Cancer Society.
The 2018 team goal was $3000, which was raised by offering dress down days for the month of October. The Alltran Making Strides Together logo was created by Rachel Jabin. Special thanks to Kate Cruser and all of the Alltran employees that participated in this year’s event.

About Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities to honor those touched by the disease and raise awareness and funds for a world without breast cancer. As the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, more than one million passionate participants support the noncompetitive three- to five-mile walks each year. Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society fund innovative breast cancer research; provide education and guidance to help people reduce their risk; and offer comprehensive patient support to those who need it most so that no one facing breast cancer ever has to walk alone. The first American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk took place in 1993.
